
Healthy Mind Pilot Project
The government-funded “Healthy Mind Pilot Project” was launched in August 2024 to provide free mental health assessments on a trial basis for members of the Yau Tsim Mong District Health Centre (DHC), Tuen Mun DHC and Eastern DHC.
After preliminary assessments, the staff of the three DHCs mentioned above will, in accordance with the protocol, advise members with symptoms of mild to moderate depression or anxiety to visit service providers in the same district under the Pilot Project for further assessments and follow-up.
Mind HK is currently the service provider for the Pilot Project at the Yau Tsim Mong DHC, offering free, emotional assessments and low-intensity psychological support to members in need in the same district.
Target Group:
Members of the Yau Tsim Mong DHC who are 18 years old or above and experiencing mild to moderate depression or anxiety (basic literacy skills required).

Service Objectives
- Provide evidence-based emotional assessment and early psychological support for individuals experiencing mild-to-moderate depression or anxiety.
- Provide approximately 6 to 8 treatment sessions for participants, each lasting about 45 minutes, held once or every two weeks, spanning 2 to 3 months.
- Enhance participants’ emotional management skills
- Employ evidence-based psychological therapy to improve participants’ depressive and anxiety symptoms effectively
Application and Withdrawal
Participants can be referred by District Health Centres (DHCs) or register online
If participants wish to withdraw from the service, they may inform their respective service provider
